Dr. Kamalasadan wins the COEN Struck Gold Award
Dr. Sukumar Kamalasadan has won the 2022 Stuck Gold Award from the college of engineering at UNC Charlotte. The award is given to a candidate/team that provides details of a high-impact, transformational, extramurally funded grant or contract, or worldwide award received during the last two academic years. The contribution must be widely recognized as highly meritorious and must have had a significant impact. This award is based on his such with the Department of Energy grant titled “Optimal Recon-figuration and Resilient Control Framework for Real-Time Photovoltaic Dispatch to Manage Critical Infrastructure”. The collaborative effort, involving multiple partners, seeks to devise tools to detect cyber and physical threats so as to improve grid resiliency and support critical infrastructure.
